A rumor has just surfaced : the famous Hello Kitty x Nike Air Presto collaboration from 2004 will be returning in the coming months.
For the record, this collab was imagined to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the famous little white cat with a red bow from the Japanese company Sanrio. Initially planned as a limited series of 500 pairs for 4 colorways, these Hello Kitty x Air Prestos special were only Friends & Family editions, to the dismay of sneakerheads. According to the privileged, there were only 12 copies per colorway, so about 50 pairs.
The man behind Kanye West’s Yeezy Adidas brand, the footwear designer Steven Smith, was working during this period for Nike and participated in the creation of this collection. For now, no photo of this upcoming collab has been published. It has not been indicated if Nike will reissue the pack in its original look or if changes will be made.
