The flagship Scottish shop HANON continues its partnership with the Italian shoe brand PANTOFOLA D’ORO and presents the second version of the MODENA silhouette. As for the first iteration released in early October (article available HERE), this new version is strongly inspired by the legendary Pantofola d’Oro soccer shoes and is adorned with high-end materials worked according to the rules of the art.
The authentic-looking shoe, which can be seen as picked up from the archives, was actually designed and manufactured from scratch by Hanon and Pantofolo. It took a lot of time, hard work, a high sense of detail and meticulous modifications to the prototype models, to finally achieve the elegant and refined result presented to us today.
The sneaker is handmade in true legendary Italian style, with premium materials entirely from Italy. It consists of a sand-colored plush calfskin nubuck upper with a perforated toe box in light grey silky suede. A double side stripe and a double heel tab combining leather assert the design. The heritage of Italian shoemaking can also be seen on the all-white leather inner lining with a pin-stitched perforated application. Labels appear coupled on the black tongue label and the logo of each adorns one of the two heels. Also, the black tongue label features gold colored co-branding, along with the model name and the words « Made in Italy ». To complete the neat and refined look, th name of the MODENA silhouette is affixed in gold leaf on the side of the shoe. The whole is based on a comfortable sole in white color.
As for the first iteration, this pair will be delivered in a bespoke box and will be wrapped in tissue paper with co-brandings.
This second HANON x Pantofola d’Oro MODENA will be limited to 72 pairs worldwide.
