HANON x Mizuno Contender ” Risso’s dolphin “

Article to be found on:

A few weeks ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about the latest collaboration between Mizuno and Hanon. Based on the Contender silhouette, this one is inspired by the ‘Grampus dolphin’, which is an important symbol of the Japanese city : the sandpiper, also known as Risso’s dolphin, which can be seen off the coast of Scotland and has a distinctive grey body characterized by its unique ‘striped’ markings that appear over time.

Having been lucky enough to receive it, I suggest you to discover it in pictures at my feet.

The Contender collaborative consists of a shiny silver mesh upper, contrasted by teal premium suede overlays and a grey overlay surrounding the foot with a striped pattern that evokes the uniqueness of Risso’s dolphin. This upscale, refined design is complemented by a pearlescent water green leather side logo Run Bird and a teal grained leather tongue and heel. The pair features branding details from both brands : the HANON Flame logo is embroidered in white on one side of the tongue and the Mizuno logo on the other. These logos are also placed on the heels and the co-branding adorns the grey insole with the famous ‘sandpiper’ stripe pattern. The whole is based on a thick and comfortable white midsole, coupled with a black rubber outsole.

The Mizuno Contenter x Hanon « Risso’s Dolphin » is still available HERE.
