A few months ago, the creative house HAL STUDIOS and the iconic Japanese brand ASICS offered us a first collaborative GEL-1130. The 2 partners are back today with a new version named « FOREST ».
This pair is a celebration of ASICS’ innovative technology fused with HAL STUDIOS’ Design Thinking ideology.
Just like the first collaborative version released last April, this GEL-1130 MK II « FOREST » continues the « maximum minimalism » ethos. It features a modified look, characterized by the removal of the usual features of traditional sports shoes and the accentuation of the retro-futuristic shape and design of the shoe.
The sneaker presents a style inspired by the natural world, specifically the forests of Japan and Shinto shrines.
It consists of an ultra-breathable forest green mesh upper, complemented by Tigers Stripes and a color-coordinated hairy suede toe overlay. A dark brown grained faux leather band adds a nice touch of stylish color. It wraps horizontally around the midfoot and covers the top of the heel. The pair benefits from neutral grey inserts, a co-branded faux leather insole and grey TPU heel tags adorned with the HAL STUDIOS name. The whole is based on an off-white midsole with a bright orange GEL heel unit and a forest green outsole, that harmoniously finalize the design.
This shoe will come with 2 sets of silicone laces, a co-branded orange hang-tag and in a stylish forest green box.
The HAL STUDIOS x ASICS GEL-1130 MK II « FOREST » will be available for pre-order for 48 hours, from October 5 to October 7, 2022, on the website of the creative house halstudios.net. All successful advance orders will be delivered in the second quarter of 2023, before the public launch of the project.
The advance order platform has been carefully designed to provide customers with a safe and fair space to secure their purchase in a stress-free environment. The platform also minimizes waste, producing only the number of pairs needed, a solution that is better for our planet. Production is limited to a certain number of units. When the maximum is reached, the platform will close and will be accompanied by a pair of brown HAL STUDIOS socks costing $30. Don’t sleep!
