A few months ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about the second collaboration between the Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama and the Japanese sports brand Mizuno. Having had the chance to get it, I suggest you to discover it in pictures on my feet.
For this second collaboration based on the Wave Prophecy 10th generation silhouette, Hajime Sorayama continues to develop his shiny metallic and curved aesthetic.
This new « Dark Side » version comes in a sleek glossy black combination, which replaces the metallic silver color seen previously on the 1st collaborative pair. It sports a sleek, futuristic look that perfectly matches the design of the 10th generation silhouette. The permeable resin base is complemented by a shiny Run Bird logo on the side panels and a metallic silver heel reinforcement, which appears as a nod to the cult works of Hajime Sorayama. A woven collar and matching flat laces on the upper provide modern style. This Wave Prophecy features the INFINITY WAVE outsole that combines Mizuno’s structural technologies and evolves them to increase lightness, flexibility and thus comfort and performance. The design of the large transparent air pockets accentuates the futuristic look of the silhouette.
This new colorway in a darker style is also very nice with a metallic vibe strongly reminiscent of the robot world of the artist. For me, this is a shoe but also a real piece of art that can be displayed in a living room. I validate in 100% this collaboration.
