Hajime Sorayama x BAPE SK8 STA

Hajime Sorayama continues to bring his signature touch to iconic sneakers. After recently working with Mizuno (article available HERE), the famous master of robotic maximalism teams up once again with BAPE. This time, Hajime Sorayama presents us with a remodeled SK8 STA.

True to the style of talented Japanese artist, the shoe has a metallic look reminiscent of his iconic « sexy robots ». It consists of a metallic silver patent leather upper with matching overlays and side logo. To complete the look, the shoe is adorned with gold detailing, such as the upper eyelets, tongue logo and added elements on the sides of the foot reminiscent of screws. Other branding details, appearing on the heel tab and side shooting star, are presented in a subtle tone-on-tone fashion. To harmoniously finalize the design, the tongue, laces, inner lining, the iconic « 93 » clip on the heel and most of the midsole are dressed in grey. A milky outsole adds the finishing touch.

The pair will be accompanied by an extensive apparel collection including a shark hoodie, crewneck, long and short sleeve t-shirts, and sweatpants. These items are available in white/gold or black/gold. The partners also offer us co-branded accessories : a pair of sunglasses and a skateboard deck declined in 2 versions.

The Hajime Sorayama x BAPE SK8 STA and the apparel collection will be released on December 26, 2021 via the online store bape.com. The price of the SK8 STA is set at 325$ and the apparel collection will be between 115$ and 495$.
