Earlier this year, during the Milan Fashion Week, the Italian fashion house GUCCI had unveiled a collaboration with ADIDAS based on the silhouette of the legendary Gazelle (article available HERE). After the release of a 1st part of this limited collection last month, a 2nd drop has just been announced.
Alessandro Michele and the German brand offer us a brand new option of the iconic adidas sneaker. The Gazelle gets a platform sole, raised more than 4 times compared to the classic version.
As for the look, the upper consists of a fabric with a GUCCI signature monogram. This base in a shade of brown, is complemented by smooth leather inserts : the white side 3-Stripes and tongue, as well as the bright blue heel tab adorned with the golden GUCCI branding. The whole is based on a very thick sole featuring 4 stacked colorways : white/coral/yellow/bright blue.
The GUCCI x adidas Gazelle Platform « Mesa » will be released on July 28, 2022, exclusively on adidas’ CONFIRMED app, priced around $1000.
