The popular watch brand G-SHOCK continues its successful partnership with NBA player Rui Hachimura. After a GM-110RH released in September 2021, the Japanese brand presents the 3rd signature model of the professional basketball player, the DW-6900RH.
In 2019, Rui Hachimura became the 1st Japanese national to be taken in the 1st round of the NBA Draft. He joined the Washington Wizards. Since November this year, this star of the Japanese national basketball team signed a partnership with the watch brand G-SHOCK.
About the design of this watch, Rui Hachimura commented : « I designed this third model based on an image of the Tateyama Mountains in my hometown of Toyama, a place full of beautiful memories, with bright colors and a beautiful view of Tateyama as the motif. I hope you like it ! »
The DW-6900RH is the 3rd signature model of Rui Hachimura. Its design comes from the DW-6900 model nicknamed ‘the 3-eyed watch’ because of its row of 3 indicators located on the top of the dial.
In reference to the inspiration, this new signature model is dressed in white and blue. It features a map of the Tateyama mountain range and the light blue print on the white strap illustrates the snowy peaks.
As with his previous collaborations, the inscription « RUI HACHIMURA » is printed in black on the upper part of the watch face, and his signature logo « Black Samurai » appears engraved on the back of the case and on the screen when the backlight is on.
The watch comes in special packaging featuring the Japanese mountain range design.
The G-SHOCK x Rui Hachimura DW-6900RH is available for 139€ ($140) at the G-SHOCK Store in Paris and on the Japanese brand’s website gshock.casio.com. Let’s go !
