The Czech store FOOTSHOP continues the celebration of its 10th anniversary by collaborating with the prestigious Dutch brand FILLING PIECES. The 2 partners present us with a Low Top Ghost silhouette designed in an eco-responsible way.
FILLING PIECES is a high-end label from Amsterdam that offers sneakers handmade in Portugal from materials imported from Italy. Founded in 2009, FP has successfully bridged the gap between streetwear and high-end fashion.
This collaboration is the culmination of many years of relationship between the two labels. FILLING PIECES was the first premium brand presented at FOOTSHOP.
Peter Hajduček, the founder and CEO of the Czech store, explains : « FILLING PIECES helped evolve the Footshop line from a traditional offering to premium products. It’s great that they saw our vision and had the courage to jump in with us – at a time when we had no premium brands on board. »
Footshop reworked an iconic silhouette from the Dutch brand to bring an eye-catching sporty look.
The sustainable approach to the shoe’s design is the key aspect of this collaboration. Using recycled or reclaimed materials, each shoe features exclusive details that make it unique. No two collaborative sneakers are the same.
Dressed mostly in white, the shoe features suede upper panels made from factory waste. The collar has perforations and the upper eyelets are lined. To affirm the eco-responsible approach, the sneaeker benefits from an impressive speckled Ghost sole made from recycled plastic and the insole is presented in cork and crushed plastic. Thick laces intertwined with fine silver fibers add character to the pair. To honor FOOTSHOP’s 10th anniversary, special branding is applied in the form of gold and red embroidery on the pointed tongue and heel.
The pair comes in a minimalist eco box.
FOOTSHOP plans to increase projects related to sustainability and upcycling, including highlighting local artists through collaborations.
Peter Hajduček concludes : « We are convinced that the new luxury will be defined by environmentally friendly design and production and that customers and enthusiasts will increasingly consider these aspects of the product. »
The Footshop x Filling Pieces Low Top Ghost will be released on November 13, 2021, via an open raffle online at releases.footshop.com. The price is set at 220$ and sizesrun US 4 to US 12.5.
