[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The famous Czech retailer FOOTSHOP, specialized in sneakers and streetwear, presents us today with a brand new creative project. In collaboration with the German giant adidas, Peter « Kovkou » Kovac from the FOOTSHOP team has reworked a cult silhouette that celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, the Superstar. This iteration, called « Blueprinting », is adorned with a stylish and sophisticated design.
To conceive this first collaborative pair with adidas, designer Kovkou was inspired by two universes. On the one hand, the mountains and hiking trails typical of his region, and on the other hand, the traditional technique of creating indigo (dark blue) fabric printing and dyeing.
The shoe consists of a white base with indigo accents, such as the contours of the emblematic three adidas side stripes, the tongue label and the stitching adorning the midsole. On the heel and the insole, we discover an elegant touch of originality : an indigo fabric with a new print designed especially for this collaboration. This exclusive print was created by combining the adidas signature trefoil logo with the Footshop logo. The usual laces were replaced by metal rings, a nod to hiking boots. To complete the mountain-inspired design, the rope laces are round and two-tone white and indigo. The traditional white rubber shell on the toe box remains unchanged, so the pair retains its legendary and distinctive element. In terms of branding details, « adidas Superstar » appears in white on the tongue label of the left shoe, while the « FTSHP » brand stands out on the right foot. The whole is based on an amazing white notched sole, finalizing the elegant sneaker’s sophisticated design.
The adidas Footshop x adidas Superstar « Blueprinting » will be released on October 10, 2020, exclusively at Footshop in a limited edition of 520 pieces.
The price is set at 120€, in sizes ranging from EU 39 1/3 to EU 49 2/3 (US 6.5 to US 13.5).
