Footpatrol x Puma suede

The British brand FOOTPATROL is teaming up with sports equipment manufacturer PUMA to design its own version of the feline’s brand mythical silhouette, the Suede. This limited-edition collaboration pays tribute to the impact that this pair, released in 1968, has had in the history of streetwear and streetculture.

In addition to being a iconic sports shoe and one of the strong symbols of the protest against the situation of African-Americans in the United States in the 1970s, the Puma Suede has become an icon of streetculture due to its popularity in the world of music, particularly hip-hop. A fact that is still true today, with the announcement of the very recent partnership between the famous Miami-based French rapper Booba and the feline brand. The FOOTPATROL teams have always been lulled by the latest musical trends with their store located in the heart of Soho, one of the hubs of the London music scene. They have even launched a musical initiative called « Frequent Players » to combine, share and support the deep link between music and streetculture.

With this collaboration, FOOTPATROL is highlighting Suede’s heritage. This version retains Rudolf Dassler’s original design while adding some subtle touches and is adorned with a high-end « Made In Italy » construction. It consists of a black hairy suede upper with off-white Puma side stripe. The laces, tongue and inner lining in black color harmonize the design. A nice touch of elegance is added by metallic gold lettering, such as the Footpatrol Gasmask logo on the black leather heel insert and the classic Puma tongue label, as well as the Puma name on the side panels and the numbering of the pair on the side heel. The whole is based on a totally off-white sole matching the Puma stripe.

The FOOTPATROL x PUMA Suede will be released in a limited edition of 200 pieces on November 21, 2020 at https://www.footpatrol.com/for 110£. Sizes range from UK 6 to UK 12, with half-sizes. Be ready !
