After revisiting the Fusion 2.0 in 2016, the British brand Footpatrol once again partnered with the Finnish brand KARHU to re-imagine the Legacy 96 silhouette. Wishing to draw on Helsinki’s fashion and streetwear culture to develop this next project, the two partners called on a leading Finnish designer : Sasu Kauppi and his label SSSU. This triple collaboration Footpatrol x Karhu x SSSU « Legacy 96 » is presented to us today.
This shoe is designed from high-end materials and is dressed in a grey and white colorway. It consists of an upper combining hairy suede in pearl grey color on the toe box and grey white mesh on the sides. Grey pig suede overlays on the front and back of the foot, as well as white smooth leather on the laceguard and side panels add elegance and cachet to the pair. A nice touch of originality is brought by the logo specially designed by Sasu Kauppi, combining the 3 branding, embroidered with grey thread on the toe box and on the tongue label reminiscent of a pull tab. The distinct triple branding are embroidered or engraved on the heel and printed in white on the grey insole. White laces with print, reflective detailing, a shiny rib knit tongue and collar complete the pair’s polished look. The whole is based on a comfortable vintage beige midsole and a white notched outsole. The 3 partners also made a two-piece tracksuit inspired by SSSU’s original 90’s-look model.
The Footpatrol x Karhu x SSSU « Legacy 96 » will be released on October 17, 2020 at Footpatrol shops and online. Be ready !
