Footpatrol x adidas EQT Support ’93

The German giant ADIDAS celebrates the 30th anniversary of its technical line EQT. For the occasion, the brand with the 3 stripes has partnered with several shops to bring their touches to iconic pairs of the range. The complete collection is presented to us via the microsite « Life Needs Equipment » (article available HERE). Retailer FOOTPATROL wanted to give a more detailed look at their collaborative EQT Support ’93.

This iconic silhouette was reimagined with inspiration from the natural elements, specifically the high mountains.

It tells the story of the 3 highest peaks in the UK : the Ben Nevis in Scotland, the Snowden in Wales and the Scafell Pike in England. The altitudes of each of these mountains are written on the middle of the midsole, on the 3 adidas stripes. For the choice of colors and materials, FOOTPATROL studied the different types of sedimentary strata of the mountains and their cohesion. So,the shoe is dressed in grey and pink hues, with subtle shades of purple, orange and blue. It consists of a combination of mesh, nylon and suede and is adorned with the orange adidas EQT and blue FOOTPATROL gas mask logos, fully embroidered on the back of the heel. The look is completed with blue or orange heel inserts, depending on the foot, on the bottom of the white and grey midsole, and top of the black rubber outsole.

The FOOTPATROL shop will also include a book on the adidas EQT Consortium that will not only give you an overview of the line and its origins, but also exclusive interviews with designers on the processes and ideas behind each collaboration.

The Footpatrol x adidas EQT Support ’93 will be released in stores and on the footpatrol.com website very soon. We’re keeping a close eye on the UK retailer’s networks to bring you the latest official details. Stay tuned !
