Since 1997, an emblematic festival has been held each year in Marmande, in south-west France, at the start of summer : “Le GAROROCK“. This event gives the public the chance to attend concerts by world-renowned artists, and to discover emerging talents from the worlds of rock, pop, rap and electro, all in a hyper-festive, good-natured atmosphere. Thanks to the modern, innovative spirit of its creators, GAROROCK has grown over the years to become one of the biggest festivals in France.
The 2022 edition, celebrating GAROROCK’s 25th anniversary, drew over 140,000 festival-goers. With a new formula for 2023, Ludovic Larbodie and the other founders of the festival are aiming for even higher attendance figures. A “Funfair” area will be set up between the stages.
This year, GAROROCK will also be held over 4 days (Thursday to Sunday), with over 60 artists from different musical universes performing on 5 stages. New for 2022 is the Caribbean stage, with music and sneaker enthusiast BISSO as Artistic Director. A reggae-dancehall atmosphere is added to the already eclectic musical offering of this legendary festival.
To go into a little more detail about the line-up, GAROROCK will be welcoming such headliners as DAVID GUETTA, CENTRAL CEE, SHAKA PONK, MACKLEMORE, BORIS BREJCHA, FEDER, GAZO, SKRILLEX, LOMEPAL, TIAKOLA, PHOENIX, LOUISE ATTAQUE, REMA and FRED AGAIN. There will also be concerts by other popular artists such as MYD, POMME, MANDRAGORA, ‘ALMÄ MANGO, MERYL, LAMBRINI GIRLS, NAÂMAN, LORENZO, THE BLESSED MADONNA, GWENDOLINE I HATE MODELS, PEDRO WINTER presents ED BANGER XX and POGO CAR CRASH CONTROL, to name but a few.
GAROROCK is all about festive nights and lively days, in a friendly, family-friendly atmosphere!
The festival offers 1, 2, 3 or 4-day passes, with or without camping included (eligible for Pass Culture). For campers and other festival-goers, there are ‘GaroFoot’, ‘GaroPétanque’, ‘Zumba’, ‘Yoga’ and an ‘Aquaride’.
The organizers have also set up several parking lots and a shuttle bus system to get to the festival, accessible to people with disabilities. Numerous food stalls of various inspirations, a Garobanque, lockers, toilets, a wine bar, mobile recharging sites and other practical points will be set up on site, always with GAROROCK’s commitment to waste reduction, energy innovation and, more globally, the preservation of its territory.
