A few days ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about the latest collaboration between the Las Vegas shop FEATURE and the brand Saucony. Named « Chocolate Chip », this special Shadow 6000 pays tribute to FEATURE’s roots in the legendary city of Las Vegas. It’s vintage inspired and makes special reference to the old $5000 poker chips.
The sneaker comes in a combination of carefully selected materials in shades of brown : nubuck, suede, smooth and grained leather, velvet and faux fur. We also find a white overlay on the side panels and some elements appear in a variation of burgundy brown with pink finishes, such as the heel tab, the tongue and the iconic side logo. To affirm the homage to the famous retro chips and poker tables, the shoe is adorned with subtle green detailing and pink « Lucky You! » lettering on the lower midfoot. The tongue branding is engraved in a circular shape, reminiscent of chips, and the insole features harmonious graphics that evoke design inspiration. The whole is based on a vintage speckled yellow midsole and a chocolate brown outsole.
