Like Concepts, KITH or the fashion house DIOR, the brand FEAR OF GOD (FoG) announces an upcoming collaboration with the specialist of high-end sandals BIRKENSTOCK. This association was born from the common values between Jerry Lorenzo’s brand and BIRKENSTOCK’s ‘1774’ unit dedicated to special projects and collaborations.
The 2 brands worked together to develop a new sandal silhouette.
Named « Los Feliz » and made in Germany, this exclusive model combines the refined aesthetics of Fear of God with the legendary orthopedic know-how of BIRKENSTOCK.
Commenting on the collaboration, FoG founder Jerry Lorenzo said : « We always try to create a product rooted in function and necessity, which is preceded by a clear aesthetic point of view. »
The name « Los Feliz » refers to the Los Angeles neighborhood. The sandal draws inspiration from the area’s unique hillside enclaves, « combining the ‘easy, elevated fluidity’ of Fear of God with the purity of Birkenstock’s iconic silhouettes ». It boasts a chic, streamlined look. This style consists of a premium calf suede and wool felt upper. It features a monolithic strap closure and benefits from a tonal suede covered cork-latex footbed and a translucent rubber sole. To affirm the collab, co-branding adorns the heel area of the footbed
The Fear of God x Birkenstock 1774 « Los Feliz » will be released on January 25, 2023 in adult sizes, in Taupe, Cement and Ash colorways, in stores and on Jerry Lorenzo’s fearofgod.com brand website. The Taupe color will also be offered in children’s sizes. Get ready !
