Photo exhibition “Couleur Primaire pour Fibre Urbaine” of MIAOUSB at the ODBR GALLERY

For one month, works of the talented emerging photographer MIAOUSB will be exhibited in the Parisian Galerie ODBR. Named “Couleur Primaire pour Fibre Urbaine” (“Primary Color for Urban Fiber”), this event invites the public to enter the artistic universe of the famous ‘Capturer of life moments’.

The Galerie ODBR was founded by the 2 great art lovers of the Bo Regard agency: Camus Valat and Maxence Mafaraud.

Originally from Villiers le Bel, MIAOUSB is a self-taught photographer who discovered a passion for photography during his numerous trips around the world. Starting with his cell phone, the young thirty-year-old then evolved to advanced cameras thanks to the support of his family and friends.

MIAOUSB has a unique and sharp artistic sense that allows him to present touching photographic works, filled with meaning, humanity, and simply life. He is the originator of the hashtag #MomentsDeVie under his photos, which stems from his excursions abroad. The photographer explained : “This hashtag comes from my travels, from my encounters, from certain everyday situations that are rather banal but worth taking a picture of, so I use this tag a lot. #MomentsDeVie”.

Originally from the Parisian suburbs, MIAOUSB is proud to put it forward by photographing it and to make it visible to as many people as possible under another eye. He shared his thoughts : “The reality about the suburbs is that there is a lot of positivity and outlets when you reach out and it is overflowing with talent. The clichés still exist, but we are here to deflect that. I can show you both the bad and the very good sides of the suburbs, because there’s real talent out there just waiting to get in the game.”

MIAOUSB is already well in the game ! He is a reference in matters of photographs of unknowns but also of public personalities like rappers and designers. Among his many excursions, he has managed to shoot iconic artists like the late Virgil Abloh and Pop Smoke.

During the exhibition “Couleur Primaire pour Fibre Urbaine” at the Galerie ODBRD, in the rappers category, MIAOUSB will open his catalog of photos of rising French stars such as Freeze Corléone, Sirap, 1Pliké140 or Da Uzi, but also renowned artists such as Niska, Damso or Kalash Criminel, to name a few. The photographer will also exhibit his captures of ‘moments de vie’ (‘moment of life’) and those ‘Vue du Ciel’ (‘seen from the sky)’ which symbolize the only way to escape from a daily life by looking at the sky for those whose life leaves little or no room for dreams. MIAOUSB also focuses on particular body parts for her photographs : ‘Les Dos’ (‘The Backs’) and ‘Les Mains’ (‘The Hands’) which will also be highlighted at the Galerie ODBR. The category ‘Les Dos’ is in contrast to the habit of photographing people ‘from the front’. The artist commented : “Why always from the front, the backs will know how to talk to you without offending you, the backs speak, the number and name of the player are on the back of the jersey so let’s not neglect the strength of the back.” ‘Les Mains’ are also important and honored in the work of MIAOUSB. After the look, they are essential in the communication. They evoke social codes and can help in group expression.

For the opening of this exhibition, which will take place on May 17, 2023, MIAOUSB and the Galerie ODBR can count on the support and collaboration of other brands and artists involved in street culture : TEALER (french streetwear label) who has created special tote bags, t-shirts and goodies, CRAPULE2000 who will create a unique tag on the metal curtain of the gallery during the opening and DWEN who will give an exclusive musical show.

The exhibition “Primary Color for Urban Fiber” by MIAOUSB at the galerie ODBR located at 60 rue de Cléry, Paris 75002, will be held from May 18 to June 18, 2023, from Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 7pm. Let’s go and enjoy !
