The emblematic END. shop continues on its almost weekly wave of successful collaborations. After last week’s collaboration with POP Trading Company and Gleneagles, the British store is back with partner REEBOK to reinterpret the iconic Classic Leather.
Named ‘Boules Club’, this special version follows on from the ‘Stout’ released last March.
The new Reebok Classic Leather reimagined by END. is this time inspired by the boulodrome and the typical French game of boules. It was designed to be adapted to the famous game of ‘pétanque’. The game consists in throwing steel balls as close as possible to the cochonnet, a small white ball.
The sneaker’s look evokes the atmosphere of the game : the sandy pétanque court, the cochonnet, the orange mesuring tape, and the silver balls.
It consists of an off-white leather upper, complemented by overlays in matching shaggy suede. The suede heel tab, leather tongue cuff and under-heel section of the white midsole add a touch of contrast in forest green. For added inspiration, the REEBOK branding on the side appears in silver and in a new form : each letter is encircled to recall petanque balls and the jack. REEBOK branding is also engraved on the heel and silver co-branding adorns the tongue tag. An off-white plush inner lining, an insole devoid of branding details and white laces with orange aglets elegantly complete the look. The whole is based on a gum outsole.
