END. x Levi’s « Painted »

The famous British retailer END. continues to partner with world famous brands to offer us high level collaborations. After having recently reinterpreted the retro adidas Continental 80 sneaker (article available HERE), the English shop unveils its very first collection elaborated in partnership with the legendary American brand LEVI’S.

For the record, it was in 1873, May 20 to be exact, that a seller of clothing, fabrics and boots in San Francisco, Levi Strauss, filed the patent for the jeans. First invented for American workers, the LEVI’S jeans and other denim items became symbols and uniforms of progress. Subsequently worn by all, these pieces have crossed generations with the same success. Denim is a workwear material turned lifestyle. Everyone wears them, from miners to presidents, rock stars to pregnant women. Denim is unifying, unisex and intergenerational. Everyone creates their own style with LEVI’S denim.

This collaborative capsule called « Painted » pays tribute to the rich history, heritage and impact of iconic LEVI’S products on fashion and many generations. This collaboration celebrates the everyday wear and unique aesthetic of workwear and inevitably denim.

END. brought a modern twist to classic LEVI’S pieces.

A selection of Trucker jackets, 505 jeans, printed t-shirts and a hoodie are offered. These 7 pieces are adorned with multicolored paint splatters, the imposing « E » END logo, the LEVI’S batwing logo or/and the merged brandings giving the white END. inscription in the red LEVI’S badge.

The selvedge denim products, the jacket and the jeans, come in two colorways: indigo or black. The short-sleeved t-shirt is offered in white or black and the hoodie is presented in black.

To accompany this new collaboration, the two partners have embarked on a film project. The short documentary film called « Marking Marks » celebrates the resilience of youth culture and highlights the similarities present in creative minds. Shot during the year when the global health crisis brought the arts to a standstill, the film offers the testimony of 3 British creators. We discover Kai Isaiah-Jamal, a poet and activist for the visibility of transgender people in London, Megan Jepson, a filmmaker and photographer in Newcastle and Trackie McLeod, a visual artist and cultural commentator from Glascow. This short documentary film exposes each artist in their home city. They express what their city means to them, the impact it has had on their art and celebrate what can be achieved when creative paths cross.

The END. x Levi’s « Painted » will be released on April 17, 2021 via a raffle accessible here  https://www.endclothing.com/eu/features/end-x-levis-painted. The jacket is priced at 319€, the jeans 239€, the hoodie 145€ and the t-shirt 59€. Don’t sleep !
