One of the oldest British fashion company specialized in outwear : Barbour, has teamed up with the English retailer END. to offer us a very nice collaboration on two cult models of the brand : the Ashby wax jacket and the fishing vest.
Barbour was founded by John Barbour in 1894. This latter has become synonymous with resistant, but elegant and functional outwear.
At first an cotton oiled jacket, it became quickly a “Wax Jacket” led by John Barbour. From a jacket designed for farmers, hunters, fishermen… It became familiar to the British aristocracy, before becoming a fashion item validated by the “street”.
The retailer and the fashion brand offer to us today, a contemporary interpretation of two emblematic clothes from the Barbour’s archives. The Ashby wax jacket and the fishing vest are introduced in a modern and functional shape.
