The famous British retailer END. and the German equipment manufacturer ADIDAS are regular and long time collaborators. After recently offering us reinterpreted Continental sneakers (article available HERE), the two partners have teamed up with Japanese streetwear brand NEIGHBORHOOD to present a football-themed « Neighborhood F.C » capsule collection.
This triple collaboration combines the classic influence of ADIDAS, the British soccer culture of END. and the design sensibility of NEIGHBORHOOD. It’s the perfect blend of traditional sports aesthetics and Japanese streetwear. It’s inspired by Tokyo’s hidden neighborhoods, back alleys and subcultural cachet where, among other things, Ura-Hara, the precursor movement of Japanese streetwear, was born.
The collection consists of a pair of soccer kits, home and away, 2 adidas silhouettes : Campus and Samba, and accessories such as 2 balls and a scarf.
These pieces come in black with a touch of white and the iconic leopard print that recalls NEIGHBORHOOD’s history and cultural heritage.
One of the jerseys features a leopard stripe with oversized NEIGBORHOOD branding on it, while the other is bolder with the leopart print covering most of it. The adidas and END. logos are placed on each side of the chest. This aesthetic choice is found on the shorts. The adidas stripes and the 3 logos stand out in white.
The sneakers have a matching look. The Samba has a black base with the leopard print applied to the iconic adidas 3-Stripes on the side and on the heel. The Campus has a reverse design : a leopard upper with the iconic black stripes and heel tab. The NEIGHBORHOOD branding stands out on the sides of the shoe in white. This line of apparel transforms classic soccer functionality into a modern urban style.
As for the balls, they take on the look of the kits and are either mostly black or Leopard with the 3 white logos. As for the fan scarf, it’s black with white NEIGHBORHOOD branding throughout. The ADIDAS and END. logos finish the look by appearing on each end.
The END. x adidas Originals x NEIGHBORHOOD « Neighborhood F.C. » collection will be released on June 26, 2021 online via a raffle set to begin June 21 at launches.endclothing.com. Don’t sleep !
