In June 2021, the iconic END. boutique and Matthew Williams’ famous brand 1017 ALYX 9SM presented their 1st collaboration « Schematic ». Following this success, the 2 partners have teamed up again to design an 8-piece collection named « Neon ».
This collaborative capsule celebrates the innovative approach of the Italian-based 1017 ALYX 9SM brand, while nodding to its close ties to underground music culture.
END. and Matthew Williams were inspired by the neon hues of dance floors to create the color palette for the collection. Shades and gradients of purple are found throughout the pieces.
In an unconventional approach and with 1017 ALYX 9SM’s penchant for intricate treatments, the short-sleeved t-shirts and hoodies made in Italy are hand-dyed to achieve a unique washed-out look. The Nightrider down jacket is made from treated nylon and features the Matthew Williams’ signature buckle closure at the collar. The collection also includes accessories featuring the famous buckle : a hand-dyed neon bucket hat and a duo of experimental bags, one of which is made of patent leather.
The collection is completed by a pair of Mono Mule that represents the fusion of the classic and the futuristic. It consists of a premium black leather upper, based on an experimental sole adorned with neon purple accents.
