Ellesse collection Heritage Automne/Hiver 2020

For the Autumn/Winter 2020 season, the ELLESSE sportswear brand has gone back into its archives. After offering us the return of the iconic sneaker tanker (article available HERE), the pioneering skiwear label unveils a textile collection inspired by the cuts and colors used in the 1970s for sports activities such as skiing, tennis and gymnastics.

Founded in 1958 by Leonardo Servadio, ELLESSE gained popularity during the 70’s as a ski equipment manufacturer, thanks in particular to the « Jet Pant », a bold and innovative ski pant inspired by women’s fashion of the time. The Italian label is renowned for its ability to combine fashion aesthetics with technical sportsmanship, and became a high-end equipment manufacturer. For the anecdote, it’s one of the first brands to have displayed its logo in relief on its clothes and also one of the first to have collaborated with a fashion designer, in this case Castelbajac in the 80s.

This collection offers a wide range of products in a variety of colors, from black to white, including blue-grey, royal blue, silver, minty turquoise, red and orange. We discover pants, jackets, coats, hoodies, round-neck sweaters, fleeces, tracksuits and zipped vests, sometimes with an oversized look. Materials are also diversified for a cocoon, lifestyle or performance-oriented effect. Each piece is adorned with warm, technical materials with reflective details to affirm the look that is both modern and archival.

The ELLESSE Heritage Autumn/Winter 2020 collection is available now on ellesse.com and at selected retailers.
