The futuristic silhouette of Japanese manufacturer MIZUNO, the Wave Prophecy 10, continues to inspire iconic artists and brands. After the latest black version by the famous designer Hajime Sorayama (article available HERE), an iteration reinterpreted by Yosuke Aizawa’s label, WHITE MOUNTAINEERING, has just been revealed.
This new 100% Japanese collaboration is inspired by snowy mountains and features the minimalist and sophisticated style of the WHITE MOUNTAINEERING brand, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2021.
The silhouette comes in 2 colorways, one in a white to charcoal grey gradient, and the other in a midnight blue/black colorway.
It consists of an innovative synthetic upper with wavy design lines that mimic mountain peaks. These are found on the side panels next to the Mizuno Runbird logo. WHITE MOUNTAINEERING branding is featured on the collar, tongue and insole. To complete the look, the two-tone white/grey or black/white soles depending on the version, are dotted with small splashes reminiscent of snowflakes.
The White Mountaineering x Mizuno Wave Prophecy 10 Duo will be released on January 8, 2022 as part of the Spring/Summer 2022 collection, priced at 258$ (29 700¥) in stores and whitemountaineering.com, as well as at emea.mizuno.com.
