Announced for a few weeks, the collab Run The Jewels x Nike SB Dunk appears more precisely on the 1st official photos.

Run The Jewels (RTJ) is an American hip-hop duo composed of New York rapper and producer El-P and Atlanta rapper Killer Mike. Founded in 2003, the group has gained popularity with attractive albums, including the latest RTJ4. In addition to posing on Westside Gunn’s latest mixtape, the duo has teamed up with NIKE’s skateboarding division to bring their touch to the iconic Dunk Low and Dunk High.

The 2 models are presented in a different color blocking, with only one common shade, fuchsia pink.

The Dunk SB Low is dressed mostly in shades of blue with a touch of pink, and the Dunk SB High appears two-tone black/pink.

The Low version consists of a leather and suede upper, contrasted by a pink side Swoosh. The heel is adorned with the embroidered « gun and fist » logo of the hip-hop group and the tongue tag features an orange branding. In honor of the 2 rappers, we find commemorative inscriptions under the Zoom units of the insoles : « FAMILY 2010 4.20.10 » which is a funny contraction of the first names of El-P (Jamie Meline on the marital status) and his wife Emily Panic, who started dating at this date. As well as « 4.20.75 » which is the date of birth of Killer Mike. The whole is based on a semi-translucent icy sole that brings the final harmonious touch to the design.

The High version features a black leather base, enhanced by fuchsia pink pony hair overlays. To affirm the precious look of the collab, the pair is adorned with a tonal side jewel Swoosh and a metallic gold lace dubrae that takes the shape of the band’s « gun and fist » logos. The pair benefits from a small hidden tongue pocket. A yellow co-branded insole, pink or yellow laces and a yellow heel pull complete the design boldly. A two-tone black and pink sole adds the finishing touch.

The Run The Jewels x Nike SB Dunk Low & High duo will be released on April 20, 2023, at select skateshops and online at nike.com. Stay tuned !
