DTRL and NEW BALANCE unveil a new chapter in their successful collaboration. After having reworked the NB 990v3, 992 models, the famous retailer reinvents once again the popular 2002R.
DTLR already brought its touch to this trendy silhouette a 1st time last year. The NB 2002R collaborative “Masquerade” was released in February 2022.
Closing the line of shoes dedicated to the DMV region (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia), this 2002R pays tribute to Virginia in particular. In addition to its geographical assets, this state is known to be important for street culture.
This exclusive NB 2002R is named “Lovers Only” in reference to the slogan “Virginia is For Lovers” and is dressed in its colors.
It consists of a light grey mesh upper with matching suede overlays and others in black. To affirm the homage, the pair features red accents under the ankle, the lace loop and the tongue. At the heel tab, the ‘N’ branding insert on the top of the toe box and the side N logo outline, we also discover blue accents. More precisely, this emblematic logo appears in black leather with a 1st line of white contours and a 2nd two-tone, red on one side and blue on the other. The whole is based on a white midsole with off-white and pearl grey under the heel, as well as a black outsole with light grey, red and blue parts.
