For some time now, there has been a great connection between fashion brands and soccer clubs. KAPPA seems to have particularly good taste in choosing promising local brands to create eye-catching designs. After the collab with LC23 for SSC Bari, KAPPA has partnered for the first time with the famous French brand DROLE DE MONSIEUR to reimagine the outfits of the French D1 soccer club AS Monaco.
The stylish sportswear brand DROLE DE MONSIEUR was born in 2014. It was founded by 2 friends from Dijon, Dany Dos Santos and Maxime Schwab, with the slogan “Not from Paris Madame” which conveys the idea that you don’t have to be from the capital to lead your projects to success. The label is now well established in the French premium men’s brand landscape.
The collaborative capsule collection designed with Kappa for AS Monaco reinterprets the official players’ jerseys and the whole equipment.
Drôle de Monsieur was inspired by the great symbols of the Principality and the iconic colors of the French Riviera to create this assortment of clothing.
The pieces combine the unisex vision of the ready-to-wear brand with the elegant values of the Club du Rocher. They can be worn both at the stadium and on the street.
The collection consists of a player’s jersey and match shorts in off-white, beige, brown and azure with the Principality’s coat of arms and diamond pattern, and a matching tracksuit. It also includes a goalkeeper’s jersey with a yellow base, a chic white backpack with black straps and clip closures and an AYBEL t-shirt in off-white like the player’s jersey or brown. An off-white and orange ASETY cap completes the outfit.
The Drôle de Monsieur x Kappa x AS Monaco collection is available in stores and on the partner websites shop.asmonaco.com and droledemonsieur.com.
The club’s players will wear the capsule on Sunday 23 October during the match against LOSC Lille scheduled at 20:45 (Paris time). Enjoy !
