For several months, or even a few years now, the French brand SALOMON has been making a great breakthrough in the world of trendy and lifestyle sneakers. In addition to offering attractive models like the new ACS + OG, the outdoor label is increasingly partnering with iconic brands to redesign cult models.
After the iconic XT-6 reinvented by COSTS and CotD, or the MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon worn by superstar Rihanna during her 2023 Super Bowl show, legendary shop DOVER STREET MARKET (DSM) officially unveils its exclusive Salomon ACS Pro Advanced duo.
True to the signature style of the boutique founded by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo and her husband Adrian Joffe, these pairs are dressed in timeless and elegant colors.
The first appears mostly in black with silver accents and the second combines black and white ‘Vanilla’.
These exclusive ACS Pro Advanced consist of an ergonomic and sturdy Kurim upper with a toe box and micropore mesh tongue. The pairs are adorned with Salomon branding on various parts of the foot but feature no DSM logo. The cult store prefers to be identified only by the evocative colorways. These sneakers feature a comfortable Ortholite insole, dual heel pulls, a sleek and improved quicklacing system, and ‘Agile Chassis’ that provides control and cushioning. The whole is based on a black sole with a silver heel insert for the ‘Black’ pair and a cream midsole and black/grey outsole for the two-tone version.
The Dover Street Market x Salomon ACS Pro Advanced duo will be released on March 17, 2023 at Dover Street Market and online at shop.doverstreetmarket.com. The price is set at 210€ ($222) per colorway, good luck !
