DOSSEH, one of the great names of French rap, was in Toulouse this Tuesday, February 7, 2023 as part of his « Dossaveli Tour ». The artist from Orleans delivered a high quality performance, organized by Bleu Citron in the cultural space CONNEXION LIVE.
For the uninitiated, DOSSEH is a 38 years old rapper from Orleans. Little brother of the famous PIT BACCARDI and close to BOOBA, he has been immersed in hip hop since his youth. The artist has made a name for himself in the world of French rap for more than 15 years thanks to his mixtapes, his featurings and his first 2 albums : ‘Yuri’ and ‘VIDALO$$A’, both certified Platinum. The 3rd opus ‘Trop tôt pour mourir’ should have the same success.
Let’s go back to the concert. To be clear, DOSSEH simply set fire to the stage!
Without embellishment, the rapper of the 45 arrived on stage alone, dressed in a white tank top, a classic adidas tracksuit and ‘white sneakers’ Gucci to offer us an intense show of more than an hour and a half.
The public was numerous, cheerful, mixed, heterogeneous and counted in its ranks of fine connoisseurs of the discography of the artist.
This crazy, festive and good-natured atmosphere even led DOSSEH to announce that the people of Toulouse are among the hottest audiences he has ever met!
Despite his many years in the rap game, this concert of February 7, 2023 marked his 1st visit to Toulouse. He paid tribute to the Toulouse rap heritage by chanting ‘TOULOUSE 31 MA C*OUILLE’ all along the show (big up to the old ones and especially KDD !)
Clean, square and effective, DOSSEH interpreted sounds of his old projects and his new album « Trop tôt pour mourir » released on September 30, 2022. Among the bangers, we had the chance to hear live ‘KFC’, ‘Bando’, ‘A chaque jour’, ‘Sommet’, ’25 décembre’, ‘Mode S’ or ‘Habitué’. In full interaction with the audience, the artist put his microphone on the floor to let the connoisseurs sing ‘Infréquentable’ and organized a pogo on the iconic ‘Yuri Barbarossa’. Moving from Drill to Trap, from conscious rap to hardcore rap, the talented DOSSEH also sat down to share the story behind his melancholy and moving track ‘Djamel’, recounting the infamous November 13, 2015 night in Paris.
After an encore, the rapper returned to the stage accompanied by Momsii, the only but excellent featuring of the evening. The 2 companions rocked their sound ‘Branché’ to close the concert in beauty.
The 1st concert of DOSSEH in Toulouse was a real success. In total interaction with the public, the rapper shared with authenticity his universe, his passion for music and transmitted his pleasure to be on stage. Delighted by the Toulouse welcome, he said he would come back, we can’t wait !
