The famous DJ-producer-entrepreneur DJ KHALED is a close friend of the iconic Jumpman brand. Jordan Brand regularly gives him the opportunity to access ultra-limited models, but also the possibility to design his own exclusive versions. Today, DJ Khaled unveiled a collection of Air Jordan 5 « We The Best » on his Instagram account.
This new collaboration includes 6 colorway options of the AJ5 and a line of matching apparel. The shoes appear in bold hues of Coral, Aqua, Purple, Baby Blue, Dark Blue and Bone White.
Each version features a leather base with matching overlays, netting and eyelets. The tongue is presented in reflective grey or black, depending on the colorway, and with a padded inner side. The latter design is also found on the inner lining. With the exception of the Baby Blue and Aqua pairs (which may be samples or F&F), this AJ5s have a black heel clip. Another difference is that they all have an off-white midsole with shark teeth in shades of blue or aqua and with or without a speckled effect, except for the Bone iteration which has a purple sole. WE THE BEST branding is embroidered on the left heel and appears under the translucent outsole on the right foot. To complete the look and affirm the collab, the famous message « Keep » « Going » is emblazoned on the inner labels of the black tabs.
These pairs will come with extra sets of laces and in a special box combining the Jumpman logo with the name of DJ Khaled’s platform, WE THE BEST. The footwear collection will be accompanied by a line of matching apparel including t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants and jackets.
The DJ Khaled x Air Jordan 5 « We The Best » collection will be released during the 2022 season at select retailers and on nike.com. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
