Montreal skateshop DIME has teamed up once again with the legendary brand VANS. The two partners present the new skateshoe from the Californian label, the WAYVEE.
DIME has teamed up with VANS to help them launch their new silhouette, the Wayvee. This shoe is defined as being of the past, present and future. It offers top-notch skate performance with a stylish lifestyle look.
Under the influence of DIME, this sneaker is introduced in 2 timeless colorways : Navy « Evening Blue » and Beige « Egret ». The upper of this shoe is reminiscent of skateshoes from the 90s-2000s, but when you look closer, you discover futuristic elements, such as sides and a translucent TPE mesh toebox. The construction is completed with suede overlays, in navy blue or beige depending on the version. The design features some of the California brand’s iconic details, such as the Jazz Stripe on the side panels and the Vans badge emblazoned on the midsole. The latter abandons its iconic red color in favor of DIME’s bold signature chick yellow. The same color is found on the co-branded LuxeLiner cushioned insole. Other branding details include Vans x Dime embroidery on the thick tongue, embossed and tonal Vans branding on the white midsole, DIME embroidered on the heel and appearing under the translucent outsole. To ensure comfort and performance, the Wayvee features a DURACAP toe cap designed to withstand the wear and tear of flip tricks and a vulcanized Wafflecup outsole. The pair comes with a removable Vans x DIME hang tag that affirms the collab.
The DIME x VANS Wayvee duo will release exclusively on July 17, 2021 in stores and on dimemtl.com, before being available on vans.com on July 24, 2021. Be ready !
