Almost 2 years ago, Montreal skateshop DIME and sportswear brand REEBOK joined forces to reinterpret the retro lifestyle BB4000 silhouette. The 2 partners are now back together to present us their new collaborative project, a revisited Workout Plus duo.
Released 35 years ago, the Reebok Workout Plus is basically an all-sports model. Over the years, it has left the gym to be worn on the street and become a lifestyle pair, just like the Nike Air Trainer for example.
DIME brought its simple and timeless aesthetic touch to this legendary Reebok silhouette.
The redesigned pair comes in two classic colorways, white and black.
Practically monochromatic, the 1st version consists of smooth white leather with matching overlays and perforations on the toe box, while the 2nd iteration comes in black suede and features the same design details. To affirm the collab, DIME branding replaces the usual ‘Reebok’ on the side window, adorns the heel and appears coupled with the Reebok vector logo on the insole. To top it off, the pair gets a metallic silver ‘DIME’ dubrae and a special tongue tag featuring Spanish painter Elias Garcia Martinez’s failed ‘Ecce Mono’ print, which was the inspiration for the 2020 collab. The whole is based on a midsole matching the upper and a gum rubber outsole for the white pair and black for the same color pair.
The Dime x Reebok Workout Plus duo is already available at Footdistrict for €120 per version and will be released on December 17, 2022 at selected retailers like BSTN. Let’s go !
