During its Spring/Summer 2023 show, the luxury brand DIOR had unveiled a mule designed in collaboration with the label DENIM TEARS. Thibo Denis, the DIOR footwear designer for men, has just given a more detailed look at this new project with the brand of his friend Tremaine Emory.
According to the 1st images, this collaborative offering consists of a set of 4 mule styles.
As far as construction goes, this high-end shoe is reminiscent of Birkenstock’s Boston clogs. It features a wide base, a rounded toe and no heel to allow the foot to pass through. These versions have elegant details, a black sole and the ‘Dior Tears’ co-branding, for some of them.
The first two versions, in navy blue or dark grey, consist of an upper covered with the DIOR monogram and a shearling lining. The side buckle takes the shape of the ‘Peace and Love’ logo with refined ‘flower’ finishes.
Two other variations are dressed in khaki or rust brown suede, and another khaki version has a thick seam on the toe box and a reduced lacing system. Also, the latest variation appears as a classic black leather dress shoe transformed into a mule. This version retains its tongue and refined lacing system.
The Denim Tears x DIOR Mules collection will be released in the coming months, in boutiques, selected retailers and probably online at denimtears.com and dior.com. More info to come, stay tuned !
