A few months ago, the famous Boston boutique CONCEPTS unveiled a new collaboration with NIKE based on the popular SB Dunk Low. Tarek Hassan and his team announced the release details of the « Orange Lobster » version.
This colorway joins the other 5 collaborative SB Dunk Lows released since 2008.

This 6th collaborative iteration adds a surreal twist to the « Lobster » series. It combines art, fashion, luxury and unconventional creativity. Its design is inspired by the colors of Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali’s playful interpretations of lobster.
It features an orange suede upper with slightly darker, speckled overlays to mimic the appearance of the famous lobster. The tongue tag is featured in orange, the inner lining is dressed in the legendary orange/white check print reminiscent of traditional tablecloths and the Swoosh is adorned with contrasting white outlines. The white colorway is also found on the mesh tongue and thick laces. To complete the look, the midsole is tinted black with orange stitching, and the outsole appears in a matching orange colorway to the upper. Last little nod to lobster fishing and how to immobilize its claws, the front of the foot is surrounded by a black elastic band.
The pair will be delivered with 2 extra sets of laces, orange and teal blue, and in a special box imitating the artwork « Lobster Telephone » of 1938 (also known as the Aphrodisiac Telephone) by Salvador Dali.
To honor this collab, the pair will be released with a collection of 130 pieces of clothing and accessories including an official collaboration with the Dali Foundation. This assortment includes a t-shirt, a trainer jacket, a hoodie and a bucket hat, as well as the introduction of women’s pieces.
CONCEPTS also worked with Japanese collectible toy brand Medicom to bring us a set of Be@rbrick 400% and 100% dressed in that famous lobster orange colorway.
The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low « Orange Lobster » will be released exclusively on December 2, 2022 at 11am EST in stores via a raffle, and online at cncpts.com on a first come, first served basis. The collection designed with the Dali Foundation will be available one day before, on December 1st 2022 in store and online. The Dunk Low will arrive on the SNKRS app a few days later, then in selected skateshops on December 20, 2022.
