In addition to offering hyper-limited big brand items and original collections, CONCEPTS offers high-end collabs. After having made the buzz by reworking the iconic Nike SB Dunk Low, the Boston store proposes us a collection designed with the French brand MEPHISTO.
This new opus marks the 3rd collaboration between the 2 partners.
CONCEPTS has brought its touch to the flagship models of the French premium shoe brand. MEPHISTO was founded in 1965 in Strasbourg by Martin Michaeli. The company offers shoes focused on comfort and well-being, as well as accessories.
The collaborative collection includes 2 colorways of Mephisto Melvin : « Dark Blue » and « Stone », and a range of clothing.
The shoes have a low profile and a stylish look. They consist of a mesh upper, enhanced by smooth suede inserts. The 1st colorway features a grey base and navy blue overlays, while the 2nd appears mostly grey. To affirm the collaboration, the usual ‘Mephisto’ on the side panels is replaced by the CONCEPTS branding, only the ‘M’ logo is kept in this window. MEPHISTO’ is subtly engraved on the suede tongue. A sturdy Ghillie lacing system and padded collar ensure the model’s high-end appeal. The whole is based on a white Runoff Air Jet technology midsole that enhances comfort, and a dark grey rubber outsole.
The apparel lineup includes a navy nylon jacket, a wine or navy tracksuit, a navy or mottled grey hoodie, a wine crewneck and a white short sleeve t-shirt. On the accessories side, the partners offer us a grey or navy suede cap, as well as 2 styles of sports socks.
The Concepts x Mephisto Match collection is released February 3, 2023 in CONCEPTS stores and online at cncpts.com. Shoes are priced at $399 per colorway and apparel items range from $20 to $200. Most pieces are still available, let’s go !
