Comme des Garçons Shirts, one of the branches of the Japanese fashion brand created by Rei Kawakubo, presents its new project designed in collaboration with ASICS. After bringing its touch to the GEL-Lyte V silhouette last May, the CdG sub-label offers us an exclusive duo of asics VIC NBD.
The asics VIC NBD has a simple and effective construction. It features a design taken from the GEL-EXTREME originally released in 1989 for the basketball range of the Japanese sportswear giant.
Reinterpreted by Comme des Garçons Shirts, the retro silhouette appears in 2 basic and timeless colorways : white and black.
In a monochromatic look, the shoe consists of a soft premium suede upper in white or black, with matching overlays and Tigers Stripes. The tongue, laces and inner lining also come in a color that matches the upper. To affirm the collab, ‘Comme des Garçons Shirts’ is paired with the ‘asics’ tongue and insole branding. The whole is based on a comfortable and performing midsole equipped with BLAST FOAM, and a rubber outsole, both white or black depending on the version.
The Comme des Garçons x ASICS VIC NBD duo is now available for 359€ per colorway, at selected retailers like DOVER STREET MARKET or Slam Jam. Don’t sleep !
