The 2 great Japanese brands, COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT and asics unveil a new part of their fruitful partnership. After having remodeled the TARTHER runner last August (article available HERE), the SHIRT division of CdG is interested in the emblematic but little requested GEL-Lyte V and offers it in 4 colorways.
Featuring a black and white color palette, these 4 versions are composed of a mesh base completed by suede overlays. In order to affirm the collab, all of them feature the black branding « COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT » on the pearl grey rear side of the midsole.
2 variations are dressed in solid colors and the other 2 have a leopard print.
The first 2 iterations are presented in reverse blocking : one has a white upper with black overlays and the other a black upper with white overlays. Both have a reflective heel tab. The whole is based, respectively, on a two-tone white/black sole, and on an entirely black sole.
The other 2 GEL-Lyte V collaborative are more daring. They are adorned with a base and a midsole covered with the famous Leopard print. One is completed with black overlays and the other with white overlays. Asics branding details above the Tiger Stripes and on the tongue, as well as a black outsole, complete the design.
The COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT x asics GEL-Lyte V are now available at selected retailers like END., The Next Door and the Nice-based shop LA FABRIC (lafabricshop.com), for a price around 300€ per pair.
