While its most promising technology is about to go to the moon (article available HERE), the COLUMBIA brand unveils a new collaboration designed to tackle the coldest planets in the galaxy. But this time in a fictional way, with Lucasfilm and especially inspired by the iconic series STAR WARS : The Clone Wars.
Star Wars : The Clone Wars is an award-winning series from Lucasfilm Animation that chronicles the adventures of Anakin Skywalker, Master Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and other popular characters from the Star Wars™ universe as the dwindling Jedi Knights struggle to restore peace.
The pieces in this 9th collaborative collection combine COLUMBIA’s functional features with references to the Star Wars universe as well as intricate details that fans of the series should especially appreciate.
The offering includes a range of outdoor and sportswear for men and women.
The Republic Parka, the Republic Heavyweight Pullover and the Republic Ball Cap are available in 2 colorways, blue for Anakin Skywalker fans and grey for Obi-Wan Kenobi fans. These 3 pieces are decorated with the Jedi insignia and the COLUMBIA branding plate.
The jacket is the highlight of this collection. It features the gold standard in warmth retention : COLUMBIA’s new space blanket-inspired Omni-Heat Infinity insulation technology, which will be part of NASA’s upcoming moon mission. This heat-reflective technology is the most advanced to date. It uses an extensive pattern of gold dots to reflect and retain heat to keep you warm longer. This parka features multiple pockets and a hood with removable faux fur. To complete the look, the internal label is adorned with « blood chit » which contains a coded message in Aurebesh™, the universal written language of the Star Wars galaxy.
The hoodie is made from durable heavyweight cotton blend fabric, benefits from a belly pocket and features a message in Aurebesh™ coded on the back.
The special edition baseball cap incorporates breathable mesh on the back and a closure for an optimal fit.
The STAR WARS : The Clone Wars™ Special and Limited Collection from COLUMBIA SPORTSWEAR will be released on December 2, 2022 at COLUMBIA retail locations and online at columbiasportswear.com. Prices are set at €500 for the parka, €140 for the hoodie and €40 for the cap. Don’t sleep !
