Last month, the famous brand TIMBERLAND teamed up with the famous Queens shop KITH to create a capsule featuring the typical New York fashion style. Before the Christmas holidays, the legendary boot brand turns to California and the skateboarding division of VANS to present us with its very first collaboration.
It’s the first time in their history that these 2 great brands work together.
They have combined their inspirations and influences to design a hybrid shoe between the skateshoe and the hiking boot.
The HALF CAB HIKER is the result of the fusion between the HALF CAB from VANS and the EURO HIKER from TIMBERLAND. It is offered in 2 colorways : « Wheat », a nod to the TIMBERLAND classics, and « Chocolate/Olive Green » which corresponds to the VANS universe.
This model features the classic Half Cab upper, combined with the Euro Hiker sole. As far as materials are concerned, the shoe is made from a blend of canvas and premium TIMBERLAND leather, not to mention a ReBOTL fabric lining containing at least 50% recycled plastic. To complete the look, the pair benefits from metal lace eyelets, two-tone round laces and co-branding details on the tongue tag and engraved under the ankle. Comfort is provided by a padded leather collar and a thick, comfortable midsole. The whole is based on a lugged outsole that provides traction and accentuates durability.
The capsule is completed with a special 6-Inch boot. This shoe, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023, is adorned with a fresh look reminiscent of the VANS brand classics. It’s dressed entirely in black and features the famous VANS checkerboard print at the lace-up area and around the top of the foot. This iconic pattern is highlighted on the black base. Co-branding details and a gum rubber cleated outsole finalize the design.
Vans Skateboarding x Timberland Collection will be released on December 20, 2022 at VANS and TIMBERLAND stores, as well as at select retailers and online at vans.com and timberland.com. Prices are set at $160 for each Half Cab Hikers and $230 for the 6-Inch Boots.
