After resuming his partnership with adidas, the famous Californian fashion designer RICK OWENS unveils a new collaboration in his signature avant-garde style. He has teamed up with artist Arturo Boem, known as SWAMPGOD, to create an eco-friendly collection available exclusively at UK shop END.
Rick Owens discovered Arturo Boem in 2020 on Instagram. Sensitive to his creativity, he invited the young artist to take an interest in his designs. Arturo immersed himself in Rick Owens’ world, becoming his protégé and modifying, deconstructing, remodeling, experimenting with Rick Owens’ signature garments. These revisited pieces have a bold look that pays homage to the famous Californian designer.
The capsule presented today by END. focuses on Rick Owens and Arturo Boem’s shared love of boundary-pushing design while engaging in responsibility and waste prevention.
SWAMPGOD modified old stock from the California-based fashion brand the way Rick Owens began his collections 20 years ago : in the « scotch tape » spirit.
Old stock is torn apart and reconfigured into something new and bold, SWAMPGOD further deconstructing Rick Owens’ hyper-experimental designs. Classic styles are turned upside down, deconstructed, transformed and associated while remaining connected to the past.
The collection consists of black colored garments such as a trucker jacket with capes, a leather vest, a zip-up dress, a cut-out t-shirt, pants and Bermuda shorts. We also discover some brown pieces and other two-tone black/white as, respectively, a hoodie and a skirt. Three models of boots, a sneaker and a mask are also proposed.
The collection Rick Owens SWAMPGOD by END. is available via a raffle set up on the site of the British shop launches.endclothing.com. Prices range from 175€ for the mask to 2980€ for the leather vest.
