Collection Parra x Nike SB « Tokyo Olympics »

In the run-up to the Tokyo Olympic Games, Nike SB presents skateboarding federation kits designed in collaboration with world-renowned artist Piet PARRA. The two partners have designed the outfit of the French, US, Brazilian and Japanese teams.

The Tokyo Summer Games marked the introduction of skateboarding in the Olympic disciplines. It was an opportunity for Nike’s SB division to participate in this historic event by partnering with artist and former professional skateboarder Piet Parra.

The graphic and colorful style of the Dutch artist is found on all 4 kits. Inspired by Japanese art and the landscapes of the country it represents, each uniform is dressed in a unique color palette. The cut of the jersey is reminiscent of the country’s leading sport and a symbolic bird is associated with the design. Tennis and the rooster for France, basketball and the eagle for the USA, baseball and the ashy crane for Japan and finally soccer and the toucan for Brazil. Involved in sustainable development, Nike SB has equipped these t-shirts with an eco-friendly design in recycled polyester.

These kits will be the official outfit of skateboarders such as Nyjah Huston, Yuto Horigome and Leticia Bufoni, each defending their country.

The Parra x Nike SB « Tokyo Olympics » collection will be released on July 18, 2021 at select skateshops before being available on June 20, 2021 at select retailers and on nike.com.
