The NIXON brand is renowned for its range of surf watches and fashion accessories. Born in California, this iconic label has just unveiled an exclusive collection of 5 watches paying tribute to another West Coast legend who died 27 years ago : the late rapper 2PAC.

Each watch was custom made to honor the legacy and artistic contribution of the great Tupac Shakur.

Joann Sessler, Nixon vice president of product, said of the collaboration : “We approached this project differently than other collaborations because the canvas was blank and the possibilities were endless. creatively, but it was also a heavy responsibility to honor his legacy as best we could. Through photos, writings and, of course, his music, we visually crafted the story of 2pac through the watches We were lucky enough to attend the ‘Wake Me When I’m Free’ exhibition in Los Angeles, where we witnessed the raw creativity of his journals, the love he had for his mother , of his joys and his struggles, and of his message to the world.”

These 5 special watches have been reworked to match 2Pac’s iconic universe and style.

They appear mainly dressed in black and gold, and display distinctive signs linked to the rapper, such as the Celtic cross, writings or even a rose. All these watches are adorned with the Nixon and 2Pac brandings, and benefit from the most famous Japanese movement: Miyota.

The collection includes the 2PAC Time Teller model, available in black or gold, the 2PAC Corporal entirely gold, the 2PAC Sentry Stainless Steel gold/silver with a touch of black and the 2PAC 51-30 black with gold details.

The 2PAC Time Teller watch has a rather classic look, enhanced by strong details, such as the border around the dial on the black version evoking the rapper’s gold chains, or the rose and the inscriptions on the bottom of the dial of the gold version. cover of the writings of 2Pac. The price is set at €175 per model.

The 2PAC Corporal reflects ambition and achievement. It recalls the retro watches of the 90’s entirely in gold and representing luxury in the street. This version features a sculpted dial decorated with a cross, as well as a hand with a Rose finish. This model is priced at €275.

The 2PAC Sentry Stainless Steel consists of a two-tone silver/gold bracelet and a black dial with a gray cross pattern in the middle. The 2PAC name affixed vertically adds a touch of originality to the model. The recommended price is €325.

The elegant 2PAC 51-30 comes in black. To add a touch of contrast and luxury, it features a triptych of gold-colored roses on the dial. The side adjustment button also opts for the gold hue, just like the quote “Long Live The Rose” affixed to the lower part of the dial. This watch is the most expensive in the collection, it costs €600.
