Collection Lacoste x Polaroïd

The iconic French casual wear brand LACOSTE presents a new colorful collaborative capsule. After recently working with music artist Bruno Mars through his brand Ricky Regal (article available HERE), LACOSTE is teaming up with legendary American camera manufacturer POLAROÏD.

In these gloomy times of global health crisis, the label LACOSTE known for its « sporty elegance » style and POLAROÏD send us good vibes with their colorful unisex collection. The two partners said that this collaboration with a joyful theme aims to « leave 2020 behind ».

The capsule has a retro-modern design. It’s inspired by the POLAROID rainbow logo from its first instant color film developed in 1963. These blue, green, yellow, orange and red colors are transferred to the legendary LACOSTE crocodile and to the French brand’s classic pieces. Some garments are adorned with large rainbow stripes while others appear plain. Taking the commemoration even further, some items are covered in a print that evokes snapshots. The LACOSTE fashion line is photographed by a POLAROID, creating special prints for this collection. Stock images and retro advertisements are also transformed into POLAROID prints.

The collection includes zippered jackets, hoodies, crewnecks, several polo and short sleeve t-shirt options, pants, polo dresses and shorts.

Accessories are also available : bucker hat and cap, swim shorts, boxer shorts, backpack and tote bag, and a watch.

Two pairs of shoes were also developed in collaboration : a T-Clip in white nappa leather and light grey suede with touches of bright colors reminiscent of the capsule clothing. As well as a Gripshot in canvas, dressed in wide bands of bright colors with a white rubber toe box and a vulcanized sole.

This capsule is finished with a POLAROID 600 camera redesigned in a LACOSTE spirit. This piece of vintage technology has been refurbished, restored and reimagined by Retrospekt.

The Lacoste x Polaroid collection is available on the French brand’s website lacoste.com. Prices range from 30$ for the boxer shorts to 280$ for the jacket, as well as 140$ for the polo shirt or the camera. Make your choice !
