The talented designer Ronnie Fieg continues to bring us high-end collaborations. After several eye-catching projects, including the collaborative and commemorative asics GEL-Lyte V « Salmon toe » (article available HERE), the KITH brand founder presents us with his new collection with legendary outwear brand COLUMBIA.
For the past week, Ronnie Fieg has been revealing images of the collaboration on Instagram. He shared photos and videos of an outdoor excursion in Arizona with close friends like Teddy Santis from ALD or Salehe Bembury.
This new collection is the 6th installment in KITH’s Element Exploration Agency (EEA) series. In addition to the COLUMBIA collab, EEA includes 4 other industry leading outdoor brands, adidas Terrex, Tumi, Oakley and G-SHOCK. Ronnie Fieg commented on the project, « EEA is the cornerstone of a performance product line that includes apparel ».
The KITH x COLUMBIA collection consists of apparel and accessories, a total of 45 pieces, inspired by outdoor activities and specifically the Sonora Desert in Arizona.
The collection includes the Riptide windbreaker and matching pants, the Chuting 2 jacket, the Henry’s Fork V vest, as well as new fleece shorts and graphic tees. These pieces are made from durable and comfortable materials such as mesh, tailored nylon, heavy cotton and fleece. They come in 3 distinct color palettes inspired by rain, sun and wind. The line features bright colors combined with more neutral tones, such as off-white with blue, green and red, or cream combined with red, orange, yellow and purple, as well as black with red and light pink.
In a harmonious spirit, this collection is completed by accessories with the same design as the clothes : the Coolhead II Zero Booney bucket hat, the Shredder 2 cap and the omni freeze bandana scarf.
The KITH x Columbia collection will be released on April 8, 2022 at 11am in KITH stores and online at kith.com. Be ready !
