The British retailer of reference END. presented us very beautiful collaborations throughout the year (several articles available on this site). To finish 2020 in beauty, END. has found a long-time partner, the Boston equipment manufacturer NEW BALANCE. In addition to a re-imagined sneaker NB 1500 « Made in England », the two partners have designed, for the first time together, a complete textile collection. The capsule, named « Rainbow Eucalyptus », is inspired by the exoticism of this tree, known for its multicolored bark.
This collaboration is an ode to the natural world around us.
Inspired by the flora and aesthetics of the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree, the 12 pieces of this collection are adorned with a palette of Nimbus Cloud, Burnt Olive, Desert Rose, Moonstruck and a touch of Lunar Grey.
The NB 1500 sneaker was carefully crafted in the British factory of New Balance in Flimby. It consists of an upper combining cloud white mesh and grey pigskin leather, enhanced by nubuck overlays, in cloud white for the laceguard, olive green for the mudguard and light grey for the heel counter. A nice touch of contrast is brought by the tongue and the contours of the lateral N logo presented in old pink. The END. and New Balance brandings each adorn an insole and the top of the tongue is covered with « New Balance Made in England » embroidery. A white midsole with touches of pink and green, combined with a rubber outsole, finalize the design. The pair will be delivered in a special bespoke box imitating the unique rainbow eucalyptus bark pattern. To complete the tribute, the interior is perfumed with the soothing scent of eucalyptus leaves.
The textile collection is composed of sportswear, embellished with coupled brandings, sometimes embroidered, and some pieces are adorned with an original addition in the form of a « Eucalyptus branch » print. We discover a hooded training jacket, mainly in cloudy white and old pink, and matching training shorts, pink with grey piping. A hoodie, sweatpants and a short-sleeved t-shirt, available in light green, olive green or cloud white, complete the collection. To complete the outfit, a training cap and a pack of socks in the colors of the tree featured in this collection are offered.
The END collection. x New Balance « Rainbow Eucalyptus » collection, including the NB 1500 and textile items, will be released on December 19, 2020 in END. stores and online via a raffle whose registrations are now open on launches.endclothing.com.
