Since the beginning of the year 2023, END. has been busy with new projects. In particular, it has launched its women’s range in the flagship store in Glasgow and opened its very first shop outside the UK, in Milan, Italy. In terms of collaborations, END. also continues to innovate, as evidenced by its very first association with the influential Danish brand HAY.
Founded in 2002, HAY is a furniture brand that promotes the return of Danish design from the 1950s in a contemporary way. It offers a wide range of items inspired by architecture and fashion. HAY’s universe is based on Danish design ideas, advanced technology and innovative research.
The first collaboration between END. and HAY is based on 4 individual versions of the Danish brand’s iconic piece of furniture : the Weekday Bench.
The Danish brand commented on this exclusive project : “With the Weekday Bench, we are clearly referencing the warm, familiar aesthetic of picnic tables and benches often used to gather families and friends in public parks. This limited-edition launch allows us to offer special colours designed with cult lifestyle brand END. that really capture the fun and playful nature of the product.”
This famous bench is the 1st product developed for the Weekday collection by Swiss/German duo Hannes & Fritz in 2018. It sports a solid pine construction and features an elegant, minimalist silhouette. Originally intended as a clever solution to the need for additional seating, this piece has been reinterpreted by END. in a variety of contemporary colors. These benches combine bold hues with natural tones for a unique Scandinavian sensibility. They are available in electric blue, avocado green, pink or red.
