After an interesting collaboration inspired by baseball with the Japanese brand Mizuno (article available HERE), Chinese streetwear retailer DOE Shangaï took up the theme « SHAPELESS, LIKE WATER » to design its next Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
The expression « SHAPELESS, LIKE WATER » recalls the quote of the legendary Bruce Lee and echoes DOE’s motto : « BE FORMLESS ».
DOE is a lifestyle imprint inspired by the convergence of cultures, expressing bold and independent thinking. It’s a leading brand in the new retail business in China.
This full unisex collection depicts the lifestyle flow of young city dwellers, resembling that of water : adapting to the changing environment but never drifting away, remaining creative and true to oneself without being defined by society.
It consists of a jacket, sweats, pants, shorts, shirts, t-shirts and accessories such as bucket hats and caps. These pieces are presented in understated colors : white, black and navy blue with details that can be bright and contrasting colors. Most of the items are plain color, cotton or denim. Some are covered with prints, slogans and DOE branding, and others are simply adorned with a unique square DOE logo in an imposing or discreet shape, on the chest and/or back of the garment.
