At the end of last year, the famous Italian brand DIADORA presented a much appreciated collection, conceived with Hasbro and designed by the talented Leo Colacicco (article available HERE). Today, the founder of the LC23 and the equipment manufacturer DIADORA unveil a new collaborative project, the « Breakfast pack » that pays tribute to the Puglia designer’s favorite Kellogg’s cereal.
Crafted in Italy and true to Leo Colacicco’s style, the 3 exclusive models in this collection are made of high end materials and feature a catchy look that is both trendy and unique.
The N9000 special is inspired by the legendary Froot Loops cereal. Multicolored and multi-material, it features an upper combining red breathable mesh on the quarter panel, pink perforated suede on the toe box, with pale pink leather side logo and black suede toe and heel overlays. The look is completed with green suede inserts, a blue and purple heel tab and an orange laceguard. Yellow accents on the toe box and a cream tongue add flair to the pair. The whole is based on an off-white midsole, coupled with a white outsole.
The collection then includes 2 versions of the Mi Basket Row Cut. One honoring the « Coco Pops » and the other the famous « Frosties ».
The first appears mostly designed in premium suede. Combining the colors of the box and cereal, this Mi Basket Row Cut « Coco Pops »combines a toe box and a white grained leather tongue with a chocolate brown mudgard, a chocolate milk brown laceguard and yellow panels. The design is provided by a pale pink « strawberry milk » side logo and an electric blue heel overlay featuring a red patch. The black color chosen for the stitching details on the collar and tongue branding adds an interesting touch of contrast. The whole is based on a vanilla milk colored midsole and a strawberry milk outsole.
Like the « Coco Pops », the Mi Basket Row Cut « Frosties » consists of a white grained leather toe box and tongue. White leather is also found at the back overlay. The nylon panels add a nice bold touch to the design, with their royal blue color and orange suede logo that asserts the reference to the mythical Frosties tiger. A grey suede mudguard, a black suede eyelet area and red brandings finalize the look. The whole is based on a cream midsole and a grey outsole matching the mudguard.
All 3 pairs will be delivered with additional sets of laces and in customized boxes.
