After the success of its collaboration with SUICOKE released last July (article available HERE), CARHARTT WIP unveils a new opus for the Fall/Winter 2022 collection. The legendary American workwear brand has invited Japanese artist Kunichi Nomura to design an exclusive capsule.

Kunichi Nomura is a multidisciplinary artist. Initially known for his work as a writer and editor for several Japanese fashion and lifestyle magazines, he founded his brand Sputnik and developed Tripster Inc, a design company specializing in interiors. The Japanese artist has designed a 2-piece capsule in 3 colorways, a pair of pants and a jacket, useful for « the work day » and for a « date night ». These two garments present a distinct duality, described by Nomura as « yin and yang. Day and night. S&M. Work and play. » the designer Added : « In creating this jacket and pants, I asked myself how I could work and then play in the same day, in the same hour, without changing my outfit. »

Available in blue, black or white « flour », the blazer and chino pants have a relaxed fit and are made of cotton twill fabric.
The collaborative jacket is inspired by the traditional chore coat with its 4 patch utility pockets. Special touches that ensures the look : a two-way corduroy collar and notched lapel.
The workwear pants have been tapered at the knees to look like chino pants. With no visible pockets on the front, this item has tool pocket details on the back.
