True to its style and influences, the Shanghai-based brand DOE unveils a new eye-catching collaboration. After working with The North Face, Mizuno or more recently DIADORA (article available HERE), the famous Chinese retailer unveils a capsule collection designed with the famous Japanese label NANAMICA.
This first joint project also marks NANAMICA’s very first collaboration with a Chinese brand.
Named « For Friends from All Lands », DOE and NANAMICA wanted to highlight the strong values of friendship through this capsule. Also, since 2018 that NANAMICA is distributed at DOE, links between the Chinese retailer and the Japanese brand have been created. So this collection also celebrates the 3 years of friendship between them.
To honor this beautiful brotherly message, 3 collaborative garments have been made, all of them from NANAMICA’s signature : the reversible down cardigan, the button-down shirt and the wide chino pants. These pieces are influenced by NANAMICA’s slogan : « One Ocean, All Lands » and DOE’s motto : « Bringing like-minded people together : a convergence of cultures », to achieve a common idea of global unity.
In order to transcribe this union on these collaborative garments, we find the DOE square branding with the letter « O » replaced by the « Key » logo of NANAMICA. To ensure a chic streetwear look, the shirt is presented in white, the pants in black and the reversible jacket appears black/pin green.
